Enjoying the last bit of summer in Revolve style

Last weekend we celebrated our girlfriend, Rikke’s birthday at Tjuvholmen in Oslo. We started the celebration with brunch at Sanoma, which is a Korean Asian fusion restaurant. I have never been to before, but the food was really good, as well as the vibe. It is truly something magical about being social again. I think everyone has been craving human connection on a different level after a corona. Obviously, there are still strict rules in Oslo, but Norway has been dealing pretty well with this situation.
After brunch, we all went to another restaurant/ bar named ‘‘bar Tjuvholmen’’. They make the best spicy margaritas! Wich is my favorite drink by far.
Have a good rest of the week everyone.
Best, Eline S.

Balloons from @theballooncompany in Oslo
Hey everyone!
Coming home to Norway has been the best decision I could have made. It’s another world back home in Norway. I have never felt so grateful for having a Norwegian passport before. The way Norway has been handling this situation compared to the US is another level. Dealing with being sick and alone was challenging and scary, but I made it and now I am home and actually happier and more thankful than ever before. I tried to lower my expectations for my birthday this year, because of the situation.
However, I guess I will always be a bit childish with birthdays. My family and some friends knows me too well and surprised me with balloons and flowers. Obviously with a good amount of distance. My brother took me biking in our old neighborhood, pretty challenging and even more challenging on the way down as I insisted on doing the harder route, with part of me regretted later on.
Sports defiantly have that effect on me, that it makes me confident when I reach the goal. The goal for this specific bike ride was to reach the top of Wyllerløypa. My brother asked me multiple times if we should turn and go back or do an easier way, but we made it! I will probably be in pain for another week from now. Everyone who has been in Norway, and knows ‘‘Wyllerløypa’’, knows it’s pretty brutal. It was probably the best birthday gift I could have got this year.
Being stuck inside a small apartment in LA and then coming back to Norway and being able to get fresh air in the Norwegian landscape, almost feels like getting drunk for the very first time again!
High on life and endorphins are poppin’!
Even tho this was not a real birthday, I decided to dress up. I was not gonna let Corona ruin my birthday this year. I am wishing all my Taurus sisters and brothers a happy birthday and encourage everyone to live life as normal as possible, do not get too engaged with the negative news, and dress up, even when it’s just for yourself or a facetime/ zoom call.
I hope everyone had a good weekend, due to the circumstances and that you are able to make the best out of this situation. Stay creative, keep yourself busy and reach out to old friends by facetime, etc.
Stay safe and have a good week.
Best, Eline S.

Christmas is just around the corner, I’m usually a last-minute person with everything. This year is a lot different since I’m celebrating my very first X.mas in the US away from my own family. Its the first time ever that I’m in charge of things to be ready and prepared.
I have to say that I start to realize why a lot of moms don’t like X.mas that much and think it’s stressful. I’m not sure how all moms manage to do everything from cooking, cleaning presents with 2-3 kids running around. All credit to my own mom and all moms around the world for keeping it up every Christmas.
We have decided not to do too many giftings this year, even tho I have bought some stuff, just to have something under the tree.
This week we had the Wilds girlfriends and wifes gift exchange dinner. I have been missing out on everything my girlfriends have been doing in Norway, so was great to get together and have a girl’s night. Mats got back yesterday and excited to have him home for a while, as well as getting family in town to celebrate X.mas. Hopefully, we can go somewhere and ice skate the next week and enjoy the cozy winter. Even tho it’s freezing out, its sunny every day and that helps for sure.
Today is a new game day, I decided to skip today’s game as I have been feeling a bit off since last night and want to charge up the batteries for our ugly sweater team dinner tonight. I love those American traditions, and defiantly planning on bringing them all back to Norway when moving back.
Tomorrow i’m starting my favorite X.mas movie marathon. My latest X.mas movie recommendation is ‘‘Bad Christmas moms’’, it’s hilarious! And ofc I’m watching The holiday, every Christmas, as well home alone and Love Actually!
Last thing: remember to reach out a hand, if you know anyone being alone this X.mas. It can mean the world to that person. I always get super emotional every X.mas and, but decided to not be this year.
I guess it helps to lower the expectations in general. Typically a lot of girls imagine things to be just like in ‘‘Love actually’’ or ‘‘The holiday’’, but truth is that no one’s life is like a Disney movie, even tho we all wish it was sometimes.
I wish you all a great Holiday season and a Merry Christmas. Take care of each other and be kind.
Best, Eline S.

Fancy brunch - God save the food
This if one of the fancier and more pricy brunch places in Milan. They have 3 different locations around in Milan and I do recommend the book your brunch table in advance as this place usually is full. The food was great, and the portions were in a good size too. I would love to go back here in the future for sure.
The big question is where to eat healthy in Milano, the city of pizza and pasta. A few friends have asked me for healthy recommendations. Personally, I don’t come to Italy to be healthy or on a diet, but there are a few healthy spots I can recommend that have really healthy options for those who prefer that.
Wegamama - More like a sushi place with tons of healthy options and good bowls.
Juice bar cafe (Duomo) - colorful bowls, juices etc, vegans options too.
Temakinho - One of Milan's new hotspots. This is a super fancy sushi place with amazing bowls, as well as rolls. The interior inside is pink and tropic. Cool spot to check out, very close to Corso Como/ Garibaldi.
California Bakery - They are located with multiple locations around Milan. They serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a Californian inspiration.
Rosa & Co
Are you a fan of poke bowls, you better check out this cute spot. The interior from the doorstep to the ceiling is all pink and they serve great drinks too.
\They are located in Corso Giuseppe, Garibaldi.
Starbucks Reserve - Great coffee
For the coffee lovers, I do recommend checking out one of the Starbucks reserve cafes in Milan. Starbucks Reserve is an upscale version of the normal Starbucks. They recently opened one in NYC too, in the Meatpacking district, right next to our old place. Its always packed there, probably since its the only one in NYC.
Their coffee is great and their pastries too. Perfect to enjoy a little coffee in-between sightseeing. We went back 3 times during our stay, much better than normal Starbucks coffee.
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

Italy’s oldest active shopping mall. The galleria is always packed with tourists. For fewer people, I suggest to go earlier in the morning and not at the weekend.
The galleria also has restaurants, so for those who just want to people-watch and have a snack that is also an option. We found a cute ice cream place on one of the corners inside and just walked around for a little.
Porta Genova
Porta Genova is like Brooklyn in NYC or Grunerlokka in Oslo. The area has become super popular in the last 5 years, a lot of students, artists etc live here.
The famous Navigli canal is located in the heart of porta Genova surrounded by cafes and restaurants. No matter what time of year, there is always a great vibe in this area, especially around aperitivo hours, when the Italiens get together after work to have their daily glass of wine.
Tenoha Milano
A lot of people would probably think its weird to eat Asian fusion in the city of pasta and pizza. But after several days with a full carb diet, we felt like eating a lighter meal. Tenoha is a newer Asian fusion restaurant located in Porta Genova, really close to the subway station. We combined the restaurant visit with sightseeing and shopping in Porta Genova. Both food and service were good. We had warm bowls with seafood and noodles, delish!

Papilla
Last but not least: Papilla just opened in Porta Genova, and recently got rated to Milan’s new nr one pizza. The spot is super cute and created by an italien family. Everything is brand new inside. Those who know me well, know I don’t eat pizza really often. This time it was defiantly worth it. Super thin, crispy crust with soft mozzarella cheese and salty ham. Yep, Italiens know how to make their pizza right!
Hope you all had a great week and got inspired to try something new if you are planning on visiting Milan. You can find the guide part 1 under Travel.
All best, Eline S.
Love spending falls in Oslo. The season right now between summer and fall is beautiful, seeing the colors on the trees change every day, it truly is something special about it. Whenever I'm free from work and the sun is out, I'm running out in the woods to clear my head. WOW, I'm amazed by Norway. Extremely thankful for my safe childhood here and being so close to nature.
Finally, I am starting to feel like my life is getting organized again, my closet starts to look normal. I hate to leave home like a mess, so been spending some time organizing my clothes and selling a bunch of things. My visa papers are almost done too, been taking some time to get all the materials together, now I'm just waiting to get some reference letters signed by different clients I have been working for. I will probably start looking at tickets and packing for my trip back to the states this weekend.
Since my boyfriend just moved there. I will try to have my base there too. Distance relationships are just too hard in the long run. Hopefully I get my visa soon, so I will still be able to do some modeling again and can easily fly to LA, NYC or Miami where I have my agencies. They are only short flights, like 2-3 hours.
I can’t wait to get back to the US, hang with my bf, and also super excited to explore a new city. I have only been in Minnesota once before for a NBA game, for Timberwolfs a few years ago. Rumors say the climate is really similar to Norway, and that they got beautiful nature.
Feel free to share if you have anything special I should do when I get there. I only know one singel person In the entire city, so that will be interesting.
I hope you all had a great week and that you got some fun or relaxing weekend plans. I can't wait to watch TV, for the first time this week, wearing PJs all weekend and fire the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.
