Day 1.

The last week has been super busy. I decided to fly in a few days before Mats game to get settled in. I stayed with one of the Swedish wife’s from Rangers as we become really close when Mats and I lived in NYC. It felt good to be able to spend some quality time with her while visiting NYC.
The first thing I do when landing in the city is to walk against Hudson River, all the way downtown to the battery park. Just to feel the pulse of the city.
The first night we hang out with some of the other girlfriends and wife’s on rangers, really good seeing the girls again and catch up on all.

Day 2.

I had some shoots set up, as I’m waiting for my visa to get confirmed I can’t work legally yet, but figured out it’s great with some new material for the book. Not sure how nice the pics will turn out tho, since I couldn’t sleep at all my first night, probably too excited to be back and see everyone. The third day I met up with some Swedish model friends who live in NYC, we did some vintage shopping at the Real Real, strolled around Soho and enjoyed the city. I had a late dinner with Mats family who also got into town to watch the game the next day.

Day 3.

I woke up and decided to go Rumble boxing. This was one of my favorite workouts in NYC and I have missed it. The gym feels more like a club, with neon lighting, loud music and even some pro athletes enjoy this workout. The workout goes on a bag, so you don’t box against anyone. After I had a lunch appointment with some of my American girlfriends at Soho House in the Meatpacking district. They serve the best food and also have a fireplace. So cozy and grateful for my friends to show up on a Monday on such short notice, we were in all 7 girls, and we all ordered the same. The kale salad with salmon.. so good!
After lunch I had to rush home and get ready for game night. I rushed over to my Swedish girlfriend’s place. We always used to go together to games, so she asked me if I wanted to sit with her during the game. It was pretty emotional when they played the video of Mats and all his highlights from his carrier in Rangers, ending with “thank you Zucc”. I love how hockey brings people together, it truly is an amazing sport. So much love in Madison square garden that night even tho it ended with a loss for Wild. So happy I could be there and support him on a special day.

Day 4

I woke up and the sun was shining super bright. I remember last year in NYC was super cold, so I put on layers of layers with jackets and sweaters. Then I head out to meet with Mat’s family. We walked around in Soho and ended up at MarieBelle, which is my favorite cafe in NYC. They are most known for their amazing hot chocolate. I always stock up in chocolate when visit this shop. Yep, I got overweight just from chocolate .. we sat down on the cute little cocoa bar and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate. When everything else is so busy in this area, MarieBelle is the perfect escape to get some rest in between sightseeing.
At night I was so dead, was supposed to go to the New Jersey game that night, but had a meeting at 5 went to bed already at 8 and passed out. NYC can be pretty overwhelming when you're not grown up there, at least for me. even tho I lived there for almost 2 years I never really got use to it.

Day 5.

My last day in the city I had lunch with Mats family at one of Mat’s favorite restaurants, Serafina. Since his mom is part Italiens he loves Italiens food, so we used to go there a lot when we lived in NYC. Its a super casual likable restaurant with classic Italien food. After I did some errands and ofc picked up candy from Mats’ favorite Bon Bon, Swedish candy shop. 1 kg candy, no biggie!. I literally got 2 kg overweight because of the chocolate I bought at Mariebelle and that candy.

Since Thanksgiving was coming up the next day some of my friends there had organized a Friendsgiving at Edition hotel Times Square my last night. The restaurant in the hotel is named “Terrace” and is a Michelin star restaurant. And I have to say, the food was bomb. I ordered the roasted cauliflower as well as the vegan Bolognese. I am actually celebrating my 3 meat-free weeks and I have to say it’s going pretty well. The meat-free bolognese honestly tasted really good. I asked some of my meat-eating friends to try it out, and they said it tasted bomb too. I really want that recipe.

Day 6.

I woke up, packed my stuff and headed to the airport. Excited to see Mats and celebrate Thanksgiving with one of the families from the Wild and their kiddos. Being meat-free on Thanksgiving can be interesting tho, I hate being that difficult picky person. Let’s see how that goes. Wish me luck!

Familia reunited in South Norway

The last few days have been super lazy. Feels so good to finally take some time completely off and hang out with my mom, dad, sister, and brother. We have been picking blueberries in the woods, kayaking, playing sand volleyball, swimming in the ocean and exploring the cutest little island Lyngør.

Yesterday we ate dinner at the little sail maker restaurant at Lyngør island called ¨Seilmakerfruens Kro¨. They serve Pizzas, fresh sea food and such.

Squah pasta with grilled chicken and pesto-avocado cream

One of my favorite things about summer and vacation is BBQing. I wish we could bbq all year round. In my opinion, almost everything tastes better when it is grilled. This meal looks fancier than it is and is easy and quick to prepare. It is perfect for dinner, and the vegans, you can replace the chicken with tofu or beans.

Step by step

What you need -for 2 people

Pesto
Olive oil
Squash *2

Chicken/ Tofu -2 chicken breast
Onions *1
One large red pepper
6 lagre mushrooms
Parmesan cheese
Avocado* 1
Salt
Pepper
Oregano

What you do

Start with cleaning up the chicken breast of the filet, and cut it into some smaller pieces. Massage one tbs of pesto and one tbs of virgin olive oil into the chicken and pack it into a silver paper. Leave the chicken in the fridge, while you prepare the rest of the meal.

Chop the onions, the pepper, and the mushrooms and add some oil, salt, and pepper. Pack it into a silver paper.

Use a spirelli, to make your veggie pasta. I bought mine on amazon. They are pretty easy to find in any kitchen store. One squash for each person, I know this looks like a lot of food, but as the veggies grill, they lose a lot of water, so in the end its not as much as it looks like.
Add 4 bs of pesto to the squash pasta and pack it into two separate silver papers.

Add all the goodies the grill. The time depends on your grill and the heat of your grill. Check in between.

Avocado - Pesto cream

Add one avocado, two large tbs of pesto, a pinch of salt, pepper and some milk to a blender. I use almond. milk, but any milk works.

Blend and heat up on low temp while you wait for the grilled food to get ready.

The end

Drain off the water from the squash, and place it to two plates. Cut the chicken into smaller pieces and top it over the squash bed with the veggies. For some extra flavor, add some olive oil and parmesan cheese.

I love timeless pieces. When packing for summer I always bring simple denim pieces. It feels like denim goes with everything, especially for Norwegian summer where people dress more casual. It's easy to dress a denim dress up or down for whatever you feel like. I love this basic denim dress from Revolve. The dress is tight but super stretchy, so feels comfortable. For a more casual look, I wear it with an oversized vintage denim jacket.

Miami Swim Week 2019

Swim week is coming to an end. Its been a crazy busy week with tons of impressions for everyone being a part of it.

I have always been dreaming of booking a show during Miami Swim Week. For years I have been looking up to the models walking during Swim week. So many powerful women in different sizes and colors from all over the world. I love that there is no measurement or height restrictions for the models during Swim Week. Which is a lot different than in NYC for example, where the models all have to fit into a size 0 and be at least 5´10. Who would ever have thought that that tall, skinny girl with braces and no curves would end up here!? This is the week of the year where all the top swimwear designers, magazines, models and photographer are in town.

The week before the shows is casting rounds for the models. I already knew from some model colleagues that this would be the crazy part of it. But I actually could never imagine it would be that insane. The lines outside the castings were hundreds of meters with girls waiting to get their 10 seconds shot in front of the designers. Since I was sick, I didn’t have the energy to attend many of the castings. Thankfully I was already pre-booked to a show for the Norwegian designer, Monica Hansen Swimwear.

It was pretty cool to be walking my first Swim week show for a Norwegian designer here in Miami. I met Monica one time before at Coachella in California but didn’t get to know her back then. After spending some time with her here during Swim Week, I have to say that this woman blows me away in every way! Not only does she look like a goddess, but she is a businesswoman with a brain and a heart. I am completely impressed with her personality and feeling honored to be one of her selected models for her show this year. I almost got a bit starstruck for a second when of my favorite Swimwear models from Australia, Nathalie Roser blended me with a smile and wished me luck before showtime. We do have the same agency in Los Angeles but haven't got the chance to work with her before now.

Monica Hansens Swimwear collection is killing it in the USA. For the record, she just had one of her pieces on the latest cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine! The Americans LOVE her swimwear, especially the celebrities. I'm personally obsessed with the entire collection. Everything is the 90s/ Versace inspired, high waisted bottoms and gold details. So was the styling at the show. It's kind of a shame that her Swim collection is not getting more attention and credit in the Norwegian market. I guess it is because Norway is not the best market for swimwear in general, with the long cold winters.

I'm still in Miami, and unfortunately still sick, even after a round of antibiotics. Seems like this virus is kind of stuck in my body. I just changed my ticket to stay a little bit longer, so that I hopefully can get a bit better before my flight back to Europe.

Antibes -> Miami

After spending some spontaneous days in Antibes, I flew to Miami for some jobs I have here during Miami Swim week. I have been pretty excited for it, since its my first year experiencing Swim Week ever! I have always been avoiding going to Miami this time of year, because of the heat waves and also because its the best time of year to be in Norway and Europe.

I have to be honest and say Its not as glamorous as it looks on my insta story. Especially because I have been sick since I got here.
I forced myself to do a few of the castings, which I think made the sickness worse. With 500 girls sweating in the lines and hours of waiting, its been some pretty challenging days for everyone being a part of it. Anyway Im grateful to have the opportunity be here. Thankfully Im already pre booked for a few shows and Im really looking forward to do them!

Wrapping up another busy week in NY

Wrapping up a busy week here in NYC. This week an old friend of mine had a huge birthday celebration with dinner and a following party at Marquee, one of the biggest night clubs here in NY. So many good friends were there, and people flew in from all over. Jonathan is one of the Marquee owners, and he and his girlfriend always do something big for his birthday.

I was working the following day, so didn’t go crazy. Only a few drinks for dinner and stopped by the club for 15 min before I went home to get some rest. .
The following day I did two shows in one day. Loved working with this beautiful girl @MeganIrminger (in the pictures). So many talented designers and creative people backstage at this show. Lots of fun to work when you love your outfit and on top of it get to work with friends.

-They have the cutest pink design cafe and amazing, tasty matcha. Especially if you combine it with a good chocolate!

Yellow cabs and easter in NY

Jeg tilbringer påsken i NY, mens jeg er småsjalu på venner og familie som nyter den norske påsken på fjellet. Jeg skulle gjerne vært hjemme i påsken, men har jobb her i byen. NYC er en by full av forskjellige religioner, så påske er ikke like stort her som hjemme i Norge.

Jeg har vært super produktiv de siste dagene, blant annet forbredet et par nye matoppskrifter jeg skal dele med dere. Min svenske venninne, Ebony har dratt tilbake til Sverige. Vi tilbrakte den siste dagen hennes sammen og hadde en liten pre -b.day dinner, fordi bursdagen min er neste uke når hun ikke er her.
Jeg skal snart komme meg av gårde på en shoot, ingen slapp søndag her gitt!

Nyt de siste påske dagene og den siste delen av vinteren, for de som fortsatt er til fjells.

Im spending the easter in NY, while Im a little jalous on my friends and family who are enjoying the norwegian ester in the mountains. I would love to be home for easter, but I got work here in the city. NYC is a city full of various religions, so easter is not as big here, as home in Norway, where most are Cristians.

I have been super productive the last few days, I prepared a few new recipes I will share with you. My Swedish girlfriend, Ebony have left back to Sweden. So we spent her last day together and had a small birthday pre-dinner, because my bday is next week while she is gone. Im heading out for a shoot, no lazy Sunday here.

Enjoy the last days of easter and the last bit of winter for those who are in the mountains.

NYC -Spring in the air

Jeg er tilbake i NYC og dagene her går som vanlig i ett. Dagen jeg landet hadde jeg en fitting for å prøve looksene før showet jeg skulle gå dagen etter; Dress for Kilt. Jeg jobbet sammen med en av de herligste gutte modellene jeg kjenner @jacobdooley. Han er som en bror for meg, Mange tror faktisk vi er søsken. Kanskje ikke så rart i og med at han ligner veldig på min egen bror. Vi hadde det veldig gøy både på fittingen, før og etter showet. Det var ett par venner av meg som også kom å så på, og vi ble igjen noen timer etter showet å tok ett par drinks.

Resten av helgen brukte jeg på på å catche opp med noen venner fra London, som var i NYC bare for ett par dager. Vi var super spontane og koste oss ute i solen hele dagen. Det er ekstra gøy når man har kjente i byen, som ikke har vært her før. Det blir litt som å gjennoppleve alt på nytt, gjennom deres øyne!

Vi spiste middag på Catch og satt under tepper på rooftopen til Soho house og pratet om alt og ingenting til langt på natt. Soho House er en privat klubb, så kjenner du noen som er medlem er det absolutt verdt ett besøk.

Det beste med vår og sommer her i NY, er rooftopene - BBQ, musikk og pulsen av byen.
Skikkelig deilig med frisk luft kjenner jeg, og herlig å gå lysere og lengre dager i møte. Folk koser seg sånn, og det er til å bli godt humør av! I tillegg kan jeg begynne ute treningen min igjen. Jeg elsker å ta meg en løpetur langs Hudson River, eller i Central park.

Nyt vår luften og ha en fortsatt fin uke. :-)

Im back in NYC and the days are flying as usual. The day I landed I had a fitting to try my looks for the show I was doing the next day; Dress for Kilt. I worked with one of the most adorable male models I know, @jacobdooley. He is like a brother to me, people actually think we are siblings. We do look a bit like each other, and he looks a lot like my own brother. We had lots of fun during the fitting, before and after the show. Even a few of my friends came to watch me walk, and we stayed for a few hours to get some drinks after the show.

The rest of the weekend I spent to catch up with some friends from London, that were only in NYC for a few days. We were super spontaneous and enjoyed the good weather all day long. Its extra fun when having friends in town, who haven’t been here before. Its a bit like experiencing everything over again, threw their eyes!

We are dinner at Catch and sat under blankets on the rooftop at Soho House and chatted about all and nothing al night long. Soho house is a private club, if you know anyone who is a member its absolutly worth checking it out.

The best thing with spring and summer here in NY, is therooftoops - BBQ, music and the beat of the city.
Feels so good with fresh air and spring vibes. Brighter and longer days are coming. People enjoy outdoors, and it makes me happy! I can also start my outdoors workouts again. I love to go for a run on Hudson River, or in Central park.

En av de siste dagene før avreise fra Miami var jeg og noen venninner å sjekket ut DIRT på South Beach. Jeg kan bekrefte at maten både er super tasty og insta vennlig!

Konseptet til Dirt er superfood. Hver rett på menyen er proppfull av superfoods og næringsstoffer.
Tallerknene er fargerike og inspirerende!

De har både veganske og gluten frie alternativer på menyen for de plante baserte. Også High protein og Paleo vennlige retter for kjøtt elskerne og gutta krutt.
Dirt bryr seg om planeten, og kjøttet deres er markert som Grass fed.

Vi bestilte rødbet salat, acai bowl, matcha pannekaker med mandel mel, søtpotet og en karri blomkål/kål bowl.. YUM!
Absolutt verdt å ta turen, hvis man befinner deg i Miami.

Jeg er på plass i NYC og har hatt en spennende helg, både jobbmessig og sosialt.
Så utrolig deilig med vår i luften her i New York. Blomster på trærne, fuglekvitter å folk som sitter ute å tar seg en matbit, eller bare nyter livet!

Hey!

One of my last days in Miami, my girlfriends and I just checked out DiRT on South Beach.
I can confirm that the food is super tasty and insta-friendly!

Dirt´s consept is superfood. Everything on the menu is full of nutritions and superfoods.
The plates here are colorful and inspiering!

The menu got vegan and gluten free options for the plant based ones. Also high protein and paleo friendly meals for the meat lovers and them boyz.
Dirt care about the planet, and their meat is marked as -Grass Fed.

We ordered a beet salad, açaí bowl, matcha pancakes (made with almond flour), sweet potatoes and a curry cauliflower/ Kale bowl.. YUM!
I really recommend to check this place out if your in Miami.

So nice with spring in the air, here in New York. Flowers on the trees, birds are singing and people are sitting outside eating, or just enjoying life.

Orlando- TV-commerical and Touristing

De siste par dagene har vært travle her i Florida, men jeg bestemte meg for å gjøre en tur ut av jobbreisen og booket inn en natt ekstra. Vanligvis er jeg så sliten etter en shoot at jeg pleier å reise rett hjem, men jeg angrer alltid etterpå.

En god venn av meg bor i Orlando og tilba seg å hente meg på flyplassen for å være turistguide for en dag. Det er faktisk en av de fineste tingene etter så mange år med modelljobbing - jeg har venner over hele verden, og det er jo faktisk veldig kult!

Vi bestemte oss for å utforske byen på sykkel. Først syklet vi inn til Orlando by før vi dro videre til Downtown og ruslet rundt i farmers market. En av de beste tingene jeg vet med USA er at de arrangerer markeder, og i Orlando holdes det hver helg. Markedet hadde alt fra kunst og forskjellige smakstilsatte popcorn, til nylagde acai bowls og juicer. Vi endte opp med å sykle 20 km den dagen, og jeg synes det er veldig deilig å oppleve en by på den måten for det slår aldri feil å være aktiv utendørs.

Orlando var generelt en ganske kul by og det er kun 4,5 timer med bil eller 1 time med fly fra Miami. Jeg anbefaler derfor å ta turen til Orlando hvis man først er i Miami. Byen har mange pene innsjøer og hyggelige mennesker, men maten var midt på treet og kan ikke måles med Miami etter min mening.

Selve jobben var superenkel! Jeg var booket for en hele dag, men kunden fikk det de trengte veldig raskt og vi var ferdig allerede kl 14. Vi filmet en TV reklame som skal vises på flere kanaler her i USA, men jeg får egentlig ikke lov til å vise noen BTS (bak kamera bilder), før reklamen er ute.

Nå er jeg tilbake i Miami og har en ny shoot i morgen. Jeg er sliten etter mye reising og jobb denne uken, og skal nå krype til køys.

I decided making a trip out of my job in Orlando and stay for an extra day.
Often when I go somewhere for work, Im too exhausted to see or do anything after the shoot, but always regret it.
One of my good friends live out there and offered to pick me up at the AirPort and be my tourist guide for a full day! That is really one of the nice things about so many year of modeling. I really do have friends all over the world, wich is pretty damn cool!

We decided to do the touristing by bike. We biked into the City of Orlando and futher downtown where we parked our bikes and went walking around farmers market to pick up some fresh fruits and iced coffee. There is a huge farmers market downtown Orlando, every weekend. This is really one of my favorite things to do in any new city in the states. They got everything from art to different flavored popcorn, to fresh made açaí bowls and juices. We ended up biking 20km that day, gotta love being active outdoors and explore new places!

Orlando was overall a cool city. Only 4,5 hours by car, and 1h by plane, so probably worth a visit if you are already in Miami. So mang pretty Lakes everywhere and people were super friendly. The food was so/so- typical American. Not even close to Miami level - in my opinion.

My work day, the next day was super easy. Was booked for a full day, but they got what they needed from me behind the lence pretty fast. So I was done already around 2pm.
We were filming a commercial wich will run on all over Americas national TV channels.
Im not really allowed to post anything from behind the scenes before its out.

Im back in Miami with a new shoot tomorrow. Pretty tired after traveling and little sleep this week. Excited to get some sleep tonight.

Jeg er super excited for å endelig ha min egen nettside på plass, som flinkeste Marlene (@mallyandthemoon) har hjulpet meg med å lage.

På denne siden kommer jeg til å dele nye #foodbyeline mat oppskrifter, travel guides fra reisene mine og litt fra hverdagen min.

Det som deles her blir solskinns-sidene og glansbildene fra hverdagen min.
Jeg håper jeg kan inspirere andre til en kreativ hverdag og sunn livsstil!

Akkurat nå er jeg i Miami. Litt jobb, kombinert med ferie blir aldri feil.
Elsker å cruise rundt på south beach på en bysykkel, dra på stranden og sjekke ut nye sunne ¨health spots¨. Forrige uke var jeg på Miami Open med noen venninner, super kul opplevelse! Selv for meg som egentlig ikke kan noe særlig om tennis.

I skrivende stund sitter jeg å booker en billett til Orlando for en reklame jobb jeg skal gjøre der neste uke. Vurderer sterkt å kombinere det med en tur til Disney world!
